The development of thorough policies and procedures is crucial to operating high quality organization and ensuring accountability for funders. Organizations such as Ohio Association of Nonprofit Organizations have developed standards for excellence, which includes having policies and procedures that guide organizations as they fulfill their missions. Government agencies expect agencies to have policies and procedures that ensure fiscal accountability, nondiscrimination in the delivery of services and appropriate care. Amy has experience with creation of policies and procedures that address the following areas.

Amy has worked to help organizations become certified or licensed by government agencies, like the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services (now ODMHAS), and has assisted agencies who became accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) or the Council on Accreditation, She has also assisted child care providers with licensing requirements of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. She has provided assistance with policies and procedures to organizations that provide educational programs, behavioral health treatment, social services, housing and community development. As a former Executive Director and someone who has worked in human services for more than 35 years, she understands the importance of having policies that are well developed and accessible to all staff and board members.
